Kingston Group is excited to launch a new community initiative that gives local clubs, schools, and charities the chance to benefit directly from every home we build.
Here's how it works
When you choose Kingston Group to build your home, you can nominate a club, school, or charity to receive 1% of the total build cost.
That means on a $600,000 build, your organisation would receive $6,000, one third at the time of deposit, and the remaining two thirds once the house is complete and final payment is made.
This 1% is not added on to your price. It comes straight out of our profit. In fact, we encourage you to shop around, compare prices, and see the difference for yourselves. At Kingston Group, we stand by our quality, our transparency, and our commitment to connect and enable our communities.

1% Referral Programme – FAQs
1. What is the minimum build cost to qualify?
The promotion applies to new home builds with a minimum contract value of $350,000 (ex GST).
2. Who can receive the 1% donation?
The nominated organisation must be a registered not-for-profit or incorporated society. This includes clubs, schools, or charities that are legally established in New Zealand.
3. Does Kingston Group need to approve the nominated organisation?
Yes. Kingston Group will review and approve the nominated organisation before any build contracts are signed. Approval will be confirmed upfront, so everything is clear from the start.
4. When is the 1% paid out?
The 1% donation is split into two payments: one third is paid at the time of deposit, and the remaining two thirds are paid once the build is complete and final payment is made.
5. Is the 1% added on to the price of the build?
No. The 1% comes directly out of Kingston Group’s profit. The client pays no extra and is encouraged to compare prices and see the transparency for themselves.
6. Can more than one organisation be nominated?
No. The 1% is donated to a single nominated organisation per build.
7. Can the donation be taken as cash or a discount by the client?
No. The 1% is a direct payment to the nominated organisation and is not transferable for cash or personal use. This programme is not about putting money in our pocket or yours, it is about building stronger communities. By working together, every home built becomes an opportunity to give back in a meaningful way.
8. What else is expected of the organisation?
We ask that the nominated organisation take part in basic promotional activity, such as photos or short videos to help share the story with the wider community.
